World book day

On 7th MARCH 2019, Russell Hill celebrated World Book Day. There were some fantastic costumes, the and children and their parents were very creative.
The costumes ranged from scary dinosaurs to superheroes that saved the day, and the children were very excited to show their costumes off. The children were more than happy to let their imagination run wild and even took on the different roles, which was great fun to see. However, Felicity took the role of her costume character very seriously; she was absolutely determined to stay in character all day, which was really delightful to see.

The staff also dressed up in some crazy costumes from Minnie mouse to Oompa-Loompas. Parents looked on with amazement as the staff also stayed in character all day.

We all had a fantastic time!!!

WE WON!!!!!!!

Recently we enter the ‘young writers’ My Frist Poem 2018- All about me competition, where some of our children independently wrote poems and “We Won”!!!! Our poems will be published in a special book. We are excited as the nursery will get a copy and we can look at our poems and those of the other children whenever we want to.

The children have all worked really hard to write and complete their poems, and the achievement and recognition of having their poems published in this book, is a testament to their hard work and endeavours.

It’s only right that they should feel very proud of themselves.

We will look forward to seeing the book of poems soon!!!!!!!

The Natural History Museum

We visited the Natural History Museum on the 20th and 22nd on February 2018.

We have been learning and reading about dinosaurs so it made sense to go and see some. We were all very excited as we entered the dinosaur exhibit. Everywhere you looked there were dinosaur bones hanging or towering over us. We were not scared as it was obvious we had more muscles than they did, they had no skin and were all bones. There were big, small, familiar and unusual looking dinosaurs.
